The United Nations has warned that every year more than 400 million tons of plastic waste is produced in the world, of which only 9 percent is recycled. That means 91% of plastics sit in landfills, never to be reused or recycled.

This smart and eco-friendly toothbrush is designed and manufactured by a US company. The materials used for the handle are hand-picked in order to exclude any carcinogenic substances or heavy metals. The toothbrush is made of bioplastic which is derived from renewable sources of biomass such as vegetable oils and timber, agricultural by-products and even recycled plastic.  Bioplastics requires less energy and fossil fuels to make, which cuts down on carbon emissions. Made from recycled materials, the toothbrush is biodegradable, compostable and 100% recyclable.

The replaceable head of the toothbrush is an innovative design because it gives an extended lifespan to the toothbrush and reduces waste. Green step starts with everyday living when we are committed to reduce waste and support products using recycled materials.
